Delete Account

This page explains how to delete your XPLR account in the app or request deletion if you cannot access the app.

1. Overview

You can delete your XPLR account directly in the app. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by contacting us.

At a glance

  • In-app deletion is available from the app settings.
  • If you cannot access the app, email support@xplr.events to request deletion.
  • Deleting your XPLR account does not delete your Google or Apple account.

2. Delete In The App

If you can sign in to XPLR, use the path Profile → Settings → Delete Account.

Use the in-app flow whenever possible because it is the fastest way to remove your account from XPLR.

3. Delete Outside The App

If you cannot access the app, send your request to support@xplr.events with the subject line Account Deletion Request.

To help us find and verify the account, include:

  • the email address linked to the account, if available;
  • your username or display name, if available;
  • the sign-in method you used, such as Google or Apple;
  • any additional details that reasonably help us identify the account.

For security reasons, we may request additional verification before processing a deletion request made outside the app.

4. Processing And Verification

When we receive an account deletion request by email, we may reply to confirm receipt, request additional information, or ask for verification if needed to protect the account.

We aim to process verified deletion requests as quickly as reasonably possible and normally within 30 days. If we need more time or more information, we will let you know by email.

5. What Happens After Deletion

When an account deletion request is processed, XPLR generally anonymizes or deletes core account data and removes related account connections, sign-in records, location preferences, and device tokens associated with the account.

  • your account access, profile image, bio, interests, and related sign-in records are removed or anonymized in XPLR;
  • friendships, subscriptions, notification tokens, selected location data, and saved or interested items linked to the account are removed;
  • community-created events linked to the account are removed from normal visibility in XPLR;
  • messages, reports, moderation-related records, or similar service records may be retained, reduced, or de-identified where reasonably needed for service integrity, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Content or records that are reasonably needed for backups, security, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance may remain for a limited period or in reduced form where appropriate.

Deleting your XPLR account does not delete your separate Google, Apple, or other third-party account used to sign in.
